Updated performance model has 911 Pace and new drift mode

The new Bentley Bentayga Speed has been revealed as the brand's fastest SUV to date, surpassing its predecessor by reaching 62mph half a second quicker and achieving a top speed of 193mph.
It replaces the previous Bentayga Speed's now-retired 6.0-litre W12 engine with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8, delivering 641bhp and 627lb ft – an increase of 15bhp and a reduction of only 37lb ft.
The smaller engine also contributes significantly to reducing the Speed's kerb weight by 42kg, bringing it down to 2466kg.

With the aid of a new launch control function, the super-SUV can now achieve the 0-62mph sprint in 3.4 seconds, surpassing the previous Speed's time of 3.9 seconds and the V8-engined S's 4.5 seconds.
The additional power also increases the Bentayga’s top speed by 3mph.
Besides its improved speed, the Speed features revised drive modes, including a Sport mode that enhances the dampers’ stiffness by 15% and relaxes the stability control to allow for “exhilarating drift angles”.
Additionally, rear-wheel steering improves maneuverability at low speeds and enhances stability at higher speeds.
A sports exhaust system comes standard, with an optional Akrapovic-supplied titanium system featuring four tailpipes, designed to unleash the “drama and potency” of the new engine.

The new super-Bentayga stands out from other models with its Speed badges on the sides and a selection of custom 22-inch or 23-inch wheel designs.
The larger wheels are available as an optional upgrade, accompanied by carbon-ceramic discs.
Inside, the Speed features a unique layout on its digital instrument screen, along with Speed branding on the passenger side of the dashboard and the treadplates, as well as matching embroidery on the seats.
Prices begin at £219,000, placing the Speed between the S (£201,500) and the more luxurious Mulliner EWB (£259,300).
Among its nearest competitors are the V8 Range Rover Sport SV priced at £169,000, the V8 plug-in hybrid Lamborghini Urus SE at £208,000, and Aston Martin’s V8 DBX S at £210,000.
